Undergraduate Application for Graduation

The deadline for submitting an Online Undergraduate Application for Graduation for the Summer 2008 term was May 29, 2008. The deadline for the Fall 2008 term is September 8, 2008 and that for Spring 2009 term is February 2, 2009.

FALL 2008 & SPRING 2009 UNDERGRADUATE GRADUATION APPLICATION DEADLINE INFORMATION:

  • Undergraduate applications for Fall 2008 graduation will continue to be accepted online through September 8, 2008. Undergraduate applications for Spring 2009 graduation will continue to be accepted online through February 2, 2009. Students who apply after these deadlines will be assessed a $50 late fee and depending on the commencement program publishing deadline, may not have their name included in the commencement program. Before students apply to graduate, they should always verify with their academic advisor that they are eligible to graduate at the end of the graduation application term. The graduation application fee is not refundable or transferable to a future term if a student applies and is then found to be ineligible to graduate due to missing course requirements.

  • A $30 filing fee for graduation is billed each semester that you file and is non-refundable and non-transferable.   

DETERMINING LATIN HONORS:

  • For candidates who are graduating under the 2005-2007 or later Undergraduate Catalog:

    Bachelor's degree candidates who have attempted and completed at least 45 semester hours in residence at The University of Texas at Arlington, including all hours completed in the first and final semesters that contain the last 45 hours, will receive:

    Cum Laude Latin Honors,

    • if their overall GPA is 3.500 - 3.699 OR

    • (their overall GPA is 3.300 - 3.499 and the GPA for their last 45 semester hours in residence is 3.500 - 3.699) 

    Magna Cum Laude Latin Honors,

    • if their overall GPA is 3.700 - 3.899 OR

    • (their overall GPA is 3.500 - 3.699 and the GPA for their last 45 semester hours in residence is 3.700 - 3.899) 

    Summa Cum Laude Latin Honors,

    • if their overall GPA is 3.900 - 4.000 OR

    • (their overall GPA is 3.700 - 4.000 and the GPA for their last 45 semester hours in residence is 3.900 - 4.000)  

     

  • For candidates who are graduating under the 1999-2001, 2001-2003 or 2003-2005 Undergraduate Catalog:

    Please note: overall GPA is not a factor in determining the Latin Honors for students graduating under these three catalogs.

    Bachelor's degree candidates who have attempted and completed at least 45 semester hours in residence at The University of Texas at Arlington, including all hours completed in the first and final semesters that contain the last 45 hours, will receive:

    Cum Laude Latin Honors,

    • if the GPA for their last 45 semester hours in residence is 3.500 - 3.699   

    Magna Cum Laude Latin Honors,

    • if the GPA for their last 45 semester hours in residence is 3.700 - 3.899   

    Summa Cum Laude Latin Honors,

    • if the GPA for their last 45 semester hours in residence is 3.900 - 4.000
