application for Federal Student Aid for 2009-2010 FAFSA is now available online.

WARNING! Be wary of organizations that charge fee to submit your application or to find you money for school. In general, the help you pay for can be obtained for free from us or from the U.S. Department of Education.

NOTE: If you or your family has unusual circumstances (such as loss of employment), complete FAFSA on the Web to the extent you can, then submit the application and consult the financial aid office.

The UTA Office of Financial Aid website is designed to provide you with useful information about financial aid programs offered through UTA and the process to apply for and receive funding. We offer a wide variety of scholarships, grants, work, and loan programs to assist with funding the college education of students and families of all income levels. More than 55% of UTA students receive some type of financial assistance. We look forward to assisting you with the financial aid process.

Requirements and Deadlines:

To be considered for maximum grant funding, students must be admitted to UT Arlington and the completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid and any additional required documents must be received in the Financial Aid Office by:

2009 - 2010

Summer 2009...................April 1, 2009
Maverick Promise...........April 1, 2009
Fall/Spring 2009-2010......May 15, 2009
Spring only 2010...............Nov. 15, 2009

Anyone applying after these dates should be prepared to pay for tuition and fees at the regularly scheduled deadline.

Important MyMav Information for UTA Students and Employees

The MyMav system will be unavailable from October 22 through October 25 for system maintenance. Students will neither be able to check the status of their financial aid applications during this time nor view and accept financial aid awards. No new financial aid awards will be made and no financial aid disbursements will occur. The system will be available beginning Monday, Oct. 26, and all normal processes will begin again at that time. We appreciate your patience during this time and look forward to serving you in the future.
